Player ProtocolPlayer AccountsEach player is allowed one player account. Multiple accounts existing without consent of the administrator will be purged from the database without warning. Service The administrator reserves the right to deny and suspend the services within the chat at any time. Black Dog Black Dog or what is also known as 'extreme' role play is allowed. However we do not condone or promote explicit, detailed sexual role play that involves minors(under the age of 18) or bestiality. If a player is found to be engaging in such acts they will have their icons removed. Time Stamps Time stamps were created to give public rooms a time structure. Characters in public rooms without a -Day- or -Night- tag attached are subject to time change there in. Vampires found hanging out in an unmarked room all night and then suddenly making a night room as the dawn hits will be subject to disciplinary action. A full day revolves in two hours increments. Time stamps occur every fifteen minutes . Regardless of when you play the day will be marked as the day on the calendar. Example: We went through the motions of role play through over two day cycles does this mean we were with each other for two days? Answer: Unless agreed upon by the people playing your characters were only together for that calendar day. The chat is always consistent with the calendar date and runs on Greenwich Mean Time. Character ProtocolTransfersWe do not allow character transfers in current state. All transfers must be starting level characters with a short background properly submitted to the forums. Storytellers have the right to deny a transfer. If you feel the denial was unjust without due judgment you may contact the head storyteller with your concerns. Experience All characters receive .5 experience when they login to the chat. We do not appreciate XP Farming. In order to avoid this perception please login OOC until you are ready to play. Storytellers reserve the right to dock XP for farming. Upon character death experience points maybe transferred over to the next character in that venue and be spent as additional freebie points. Example: Your Gangrel Anarch met a rather unfortunate demise. However, the experience points remaining unspent on your sheet maybe spent on a new Anarch character. Experience cost is at current rating. Example: Lynn wants to buy another level of alertness, since she is mortal it would be her current rating of 2 x 2 to purchase. Thus, she has to spend 4 experience points to get level 3 alertness. All experience costs are determined by venue appropriate books. Sheet Backgrounds You will not be expected to pay for additional background points if they are earned via on chat role play. You can still blue book and make XP requests for additional backgrounds if you wish. Example: Your storyteller runs a scene in which you have just diablerized a vampire. You will not have to spend the experience points to take more generation. Character Background Stories We do not expect a novella of a character background, but we do expect a short character background description started in the appropriate venue drop-box on the forum. Brevity in appreciated. Multiple Characters You are allowed one character per venue. Example: JohnQ_RP_Addict has one urban garou, one rural garou, one Camarilla vampire and one independent ghoul. Leaving the Character and/or Game Once a character is brought into play and becomes active in a storyline the character remains part of storyline until they are killed or made to disappear by the storyteller. Example: Gary doesn't want to play his Garou any more for reasons the ST and staff can not divulge. Gary was an active participant in the storyline and his character was being brought to a trial that may result in his death. Seeing as Gary refuses to play it out and it is part of the storyline the storyteller has the right to finish the scene as needed to continue the game. Under Age Characters No PC is allowed to be underage or appear to be underage. The Player Character must look and be at least 18 years of age. Pregnancy We do not encourage people to play pregnant characters; however if you do find yourself in this precarious position expect to carry the pregnancy the full nine months. Example: Your character became pregnant on June 01, 2007 there for your character will be pregnant 9 months from the date of conception. The only way around this is miscarriage, abortion or a difference in Garou breed. No True Born births allowed. GarouCreation RulesPlease refer to the Garou creation page for venue specific creation guidelines and general house rules on Garou and Kinfolk character creation.Rage If their rage is greater than your wp, you roll Perception + The Apropriate Lore (Tribal/Wyrm/Wyld/Weaver) Lore dificulty 11 - their rage rating to detect a garou. The kinfolk merit Recognize Garou lowers the difficulty by 2. VampireCreation RulesPlease refer to the vampire creation page for sect specific creation guidelines and general house rules on vampire character creation.Presence Presence is a slippery slope of personal perception. We do it by the book and it should not be confused with the discipline of Dominate. Please adhere to the affects of a successful Presence roll. Those who wish to dispute such rolls may do so to the proper ST and must put the scene on hold. Derangements Taking a derangement is to be treated as a flaw and give the player two additional points to spend. Malkavians may only get flaw points from an additional flaw. Derangements earned after character creation do not give the player extra XP. Derangements and Aura Perception psy·chot·ic /saɪˈkɒtɪk/ [sahy-kot-ik] –adjective 1. characterized by or afflicted with psychosis. –noun 2. a person afflicted with psychosis. When a PC gets three or more successes at Aura Perception they are able to tell if the target PC has a derangement. Example: Richard used aura perception on the Malkavian neonate and their mortal companion. With each he received 4 successes he was able to see the hypnotic swirling colors in their aura and thus noted they had a psychosis of some sort. Complaints Complaints can be addressed to your head storyteller or the administrator.
